How Swiss Rounds Work
Swiss tournaments pair players with similar records each round. Players continue playing through the scheduled Swiss rounds, and the highest-ranked players advance to the playoff cut.
The recommendations above follow Appendix E of the Magic Tournament Rules. Premier tournaments use these round counts, and tournament organizers may also use them for non-Premier events.
